As a result of regulatory changes imposed by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), we will be changing our SMS sender ID for South Africa.
Note that this change was scheduled previously for April 28, 2026, but was cancelled due to issues discovered prior to the change date. Unfortunately, we did not send an updated advisory noting this cancellation as is common practice, and apologize for that missed communication.
PLANNED UPDATE Everbridge will change the existing SMS sender ID for South Africa from +27 96 000 10007650 to +27 96 000 04007650.

Start: June 3, 2026 11:00 AM Eastern / 8:00 AM Pacific (15:00 UTC)
End: June 3, 2026 11:59 AM Eastern / 8:59 AM Pacific (15:59 UTC)
IMPACT Your message recipients will see the new sender ID on SMS messages your Organization sends to contacts in South Africa after the above noted date and time. Please note that the sender ID being changed is one of two sender IDs that Everbridge uses for South Africa; only the sender ID mentioned in this announcement is changing.
To inform your contacts about this change, we recommend you send an email notification with confirmation requested to South Africa contacts, asking them to add an alias contact to their mobile device for this new sender ID. This will prevent their Everbridge notifications from being erroneously flagged as spam by their provider.
