Upcoming Changes for Voice Calls to Brazil

Scheduled for Nov 7, 00:00 - 00:01 PST

Scheduled

Due to changes imposed by Brazil's telecommunications authority, calls to Brazil will soon need to display a caller ID number issued by the same telephony operator used to place the call. This means you will no longer be able to use a caller ID number you obtained outside of Everbridge, such as one provisioned through another provider. Instead, you must use a number provided by Everbridge and issued by the operator Everbridge uses to place those calls.

PLANNED UPDATE
For your voice calls to contacts in Brazil, you must use a caller ID that is provided by Everbridge. Using a caller ID that is not acquired through Everbridge may result in call failure. Detailed information can be found in our Support Center article at Voice Calls to Brazil.

WHEN
  • 16 October 2026 - If you need to request a phone number from Everbridge to use as caller ID, you must provide your request, along with any required documentation, by this date. This will allow Everbridge sufficient time to acquire the number and provide to you before the below deadlines.
  • 7 November 2026 - If you are not in compliance with the requirements, then you will see intermittent call failures for calls sent to Brazil.
  • 7 December 2026 - If you are not in compliance with the requirements, then you will see full call failures for calls sent to Brazil.

IMPACT
Your contacts in Brazil will not receive voice calls if the upcoming requirements for calling are not adhered to.
